2018 Deer Season
Here we go to deer hunting for 2018. Dad, Sophia and Esley hit the road on our yearly pilgrimage to Dickey in search of big deer, meet for the freezer and time with family. There is something special about sharing the memories that I have of my youth with my own kids. Growing up, I made this same journey many times with my parents. I hope my kids become to experience the same feelings of excitement that I had traveling to the farm for hunting. We Spend Friday night having dinner with friends from Fullerton at Dean's garage. After eating hot dogs the kids dove into Dean's ice cream maker. Saturday grandma took the all the cousins to Aberdeen for a movie. Mornings and evenings are spent in deer stands, while during the day we walk tree rows as grassland. Although we did not get a deer over the opening weekend, we did find the important things; fellowship with family, time alone with God and the pursuit of a passion. Loaded up and ready to go. First stop, Frida...
